How to Use Web2.0 Tricks to Get Good Ranking

I just learned about a method to get good Google rankings:

Step One: Write a post to Your blog.

Step Two: Submit a snippet of the post to sites like Digg and Propeller.

Step Three: Bookmark the snippet pages on sites like Delicious, Reddit and StumbleUpon.

Step Four: Ping the bookmark RSS feeds using sites like Autopinger and Pingomatic.

(Note: Reddit is nofollow until you get at least one other vote for your bookmark. Simply set up a second account - using a different browser - and vote for your bookmark to make the link normal.)

Google Pagerank Update and Directory Submission

In late October 2007, Google updated its Toolbar Pagerank values after a longer than usual delay. Many websites have suffered a decrease in their Pagerank value, especially those that have participated in link selling and link farms. As a result, when submitting your websites to web directories, you should re-consider values of those directories. After the recent Google PR update, I checked the PR values of the most popular web directories, and found that a lot of them have their Pagerank value dropped.

Below is a list of web directories with a PR value at least 5 after the Google Pagerank Oct 2007 update:
