| NetSmarter @ 2007-12-12 08:05 (Tools and Books) Traffic is the life-blood of your Internet business.
No traffic, no business.
So how do you get traffic?
With joint ventures and affiliates you're relying on someone else to get you the
traffic.
Your business (and the size of your bank account) is in their hands.
With hocus pocus SEO techniques, you've got to stay a step ahead of the search
engines.
Good luck.
With pay-per-click, you're p-a-y-i-n-g.
Through the nose.
Forever and ever.
Ouch.
What if you can get INSTANT targeted traffic to every single one of your sites,
courtesy of the search engines?
No, not Adwords.
You NEVER ever have to pay for this traffic.

There is a whole world of buyers out there looking for what you have to offer.
And you don't need to pay Google (or anyone) for them to beat a path to your
website.
Think about it... you can actually earn 5 or 6 figures a year without spending a
cent on advertising.
This means you can start earning NOW, without an investment.
And you can do this whether you have your own products, or you're an affiliate.
Doesn't matter.
What does matter is that YOU get the traffic you need to make your living online
NOW, starting today.

NetSmarter @ 2007-11-13 23:13 (Tools and Books) Recently I read an eBook on affiliate marketing, called Confessions of a Lazy Super Affiliate. After I have read it, I think it's a non-B.S. book and worth the money (only $29.95).
Without giving away too much (otherwise the author might get angry), let me tell you a little bit about this book. I'd say Confessions of a Lazy Super-Affiliate is a pretty down-to-earth book. It's not for beginner, but for intermediate affiliate marketers who have already learned the basic stuff and are familiar with stuff like clickbank, adsense, adwords, etc.
Chris Rempel, the author of Confessions of a Lazy Super-Affiliate, doesn't like AdSense. "AdSense is for dummies." he said. The author doesn’t like those sites created by automatic scripts either. What he recommended is mini-sites focus on affiliate products. In Confession of a Lazy Super Affiliate, the author laid down a detailed step-by-step blueprint on how to create such mini-sites. I’d say that part was well written and can be followed easily. And it makes sense, too.
After that section, it came a real surprise. The author offers a SEO strategy that I’ve never heard about: it’s called viral software marketing. To me, that trick alone is so useful that I’d be willing to spend $29.95 to buy that idea alone. I found myself eager to start using that trick even before I finish reading the book.
Overall, Confession of a Lazy Super Affiliate is an eBook that definitely worth reading. It’s not long (61 pages) and full of detailed instruction, tips and tricks. Give it a try if you are interested!

NetSmarter @ 2007-10-27 00:05 (Web Traffic and SEO) In late October 2007, Google updated its Toolbar Pagerank values after a longer than usual delay. Many websites have suffered a decrease in their Pagerank value, especially those that have participated in link selling and link farms. As a result, when submitting your websites to web directories, you should re-consider values of those directories. After the recent Google PR update, I checked the PR values of the most popular web directories, and found that a lot of them have their Pagerank value dropped.
Below is a list of web directories with a PR value at least 5 after the Google Pagerank Oct 2007 update:
PR: 8
PR: 7
PR: 6
PR: 5
PR: 4
PR: 3
PR: 2

Google Maps has just added a new featured caled "Street View". For some places on the Google Map, you can see photos of that street. The street-level photos are 360-degree navigable. Currently this cool feature is not available for all streets. On a Google map, if you see a street is outlined in blue, that means you see "Street View" of that street. The photo I showed above is a street view of 222 Castro Street in Mountain View, California.
